An impassioned plea from the mothers of the three kidnapped and slain Israeli teenagers whose abduction brought the nation together this past summer and whose deaths plunged us into mourning and a lengthy war. Iris Yifrah, Bat-Galim Sha’ar and Rachelle Frenkel are asking our community to look each other in the eyes, take a deep breath and try to come to a place of unity, tolerance and understanding that, despite our many differences and disagreements, we are all trying to do what we believe is for the common good. The video was created to introduce the Jerusalem Unity Prize in Memory of Eyal, Gilad & Naftali, which organizers say was born out of tragedy but is inspired by belief in a better future. This remarkable initiative reminds us that regardless of our challenges -- there will always be far more that unites us than divides us.
