The House was used as the Regimental Headquarters of The U.S. Parachute Infantry Regiment, during the D Day landings in 1944. The property changed hands several times between the Germans and the Americans over a 3 day battle to secure the strategic location of Angoville-au-Plain. Owners David and Sue, have researched the history of the property with the help of local enthusiasts and have a private collection of artefacts and vehicles open to guests.
