An interesting case playing out at Southside High School. A mother argued that a No. 1-ranked student had been given an unfair grade advantage after transferring to Southside from a school in Georgia. The Georgia school gave more extra points for advanced courses than Greenville County schools do, the mother said. The student’s GPA will be readjusted once again after having previously been adjusted to restore his No. 1 class ranking. What do you think is fair in this case?
