An interesting email just came in from Marion Robb-Gardner, who is indeed the owner of the website that illegally uses text from my sites home page, and who is a member of the EAC: Hello Katharine- My sincere apologies for this error. I was simply looking for examples of what editors put on their web pages, and temporarily placed a few good examples on this newly-constructed web page, meaning to go back and write my own script. I was not aware that the site was taken live. I decided against going with Vista Print and have created another website, with a new name. After looking at your numerous messages, I contacted Vista Print earlier today and asked them to take it down. Im sure this will be done ASAP. In the interim, Id appreciate your patience. Thank you, Marion _____________ Here is the response I sent: Marion, your use of my text without my permission is illegal and a violation of US copyright law. If you need placeholder text, there are plenty of online generators of greeked (aka nonsense) text. I expect to see the text that you purloined gone from your site tomorrow, June 29, 2014, or I shall be contacting my attorney. Thievery does not merit patience.
