Why would Boris make his recent hardline announcements about Scottish independence and devolution? He is self aware enough to know that as a Bullingdon Boy, detested by Left of Centre and Nationalist Scots, his words are more likely to galvanise the YES vote. Why help the YES vote? And why stick his head above the parapet when the actual PM is lying low? Aah, the PM! Thats it. The job that Boris is being quoted for. Has Boris got his eye on next year or the year after? Boris KNOWS the tide is turning in YES favour, he knows NO Tory politician can change this, he KNOWS Cameron will immediately go down in history as the PM who lost Scotland. He is already setting out his stall, so he can distance himself from this sad episode for imperialists. So he can tell Tory voters he would have been more hardline that Cameron, he wouldnt have lost the northernmost region of UK, get voted in as the decisive leader the Tories want. THEN at General Election time regain some votes from UKIP because of his hardline stance . . . . No.10 here he comes. Well played sah!
