An internal mail from UL Sport: Dear Campus – Two UL students excelling in the area of sport… It’s great when we hear of UL students doing well in their field. Brian Cunniffe (2003) Sport Scientist for the British and Irish Lions Rugby Team currently touring Australia - Brian Cunniffe graduated from the University of Limerick in 2003 with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Sciences. In 2004 he obtained an MSc from the University of Loughborough and in 2008 a PhD from the University of Glamorgan. From 2008 to 2011 he was Senior Performance Scientist with the English Institute of Sport. In 2011 he was appointed Senior Sport Scientist with the British Olympic Association. Louise McCagh 3rd Yr Sport & Exercise Sciences - Won three medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze) at the Taekwon-Do world Cup. This was the largest ITF competition ever with 1670 competitors. Louise has made a little bit of history in the world of International Taekwon-Do by taking the title of Best Overall Senior Female competitor, having won the junior version of that title four years ago in Italy.
