An investigation has commenced after two men robbed a bakery in Haberfield this morning. About 5am (Saturday 9 August 2014), two men entered a bakery on Ramsay Street and threatened the three employees with a pick hammer, demanding money. A staff member handed them cash and the men fled, last seen heading towards Kingston Avenue. Police from Ashfield Local Area Command were contacted and attended shortly after. The officers established a crime scene and searched the neighbourhood without success. No one was hurt during the robbery. Police have released descriptions of two men who may be able to assist with inquiries. The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a thin build and about 155cm tall. At the time he wore a grey jacket, denim jeans and had a scarf covering his face. The second man had a dark complexion and a medium build. He was 190cm tall and wearing a black jacket, blue jeans with a grey and blue, striped scarf covering his face.
