An irate homeowner today threatened to sue me because I told her she was responsible for fixing the leak in her pipe. She also proceeded to tell me: I know where you live...youre in trouble. I mean, what the hell is that supposed to mean? If only she would put that energy back into fixing her damn leak, it would be a done deal. Where do people find the time to argue the hell out of something to try to get away with it when it would take half the time to simply own up to their problem and take responsibility for it? The one thing my job has, unfortunately, taught me is that too many people are always trying to get away with something, always trying to place blame and responsibility on anyone but themselves. Its so draining and disillusioning to deal with dishonest people like this. I feel they dont deserve my time nor my help.
