An item we posted on this page has been bothering us. It was a knee jerk reaction to something we found outrageous. The Boycott Brians Markets. Do we think he is wrong for not wanting and waiting for due process? Yes, we sure do. But he does have the right to his own opinion and his own strategy to get another elected, no matter how uninformed and wrong we feel he is. If a Farmers Market came out in defense of due process for the mayor, we would not want them attacked or boycotted.They would be savaged and they would have hell to pay, but it would not be right. We know right from wrong and we know Mayor Filner would not want these sort of actions as well, as he has fought too hard for the little people all his life. Even if one person doesn’t buy their weekly produce here from a single farmer, that farmer would be impacted. It just goes against the grain for us and we think the mayor would agree and we feel we made a mistake. So, we are deleting the entire boycott post, we hope you all understand, we don’t want to sink to their level. Thank you.
