An open letter from the family of a musician. Theo Laygo is a fighter. You may not easily see the fighter in him just by looking at him but Theo has won seven battles in the span of one year. The enemy is a brain tumor so rare and so destructive that it has affected his speech, breathing, swallowing, even blinking. Theo is currently in the ICU of PGH. Intubated and under treatment for infection after surgery to excise a recurrent tumor last month, Theo is once again fighting for his life. The tumors and all the infections crippled the 32-year old, while the expenses that came along with his treatments crippled his family financially. In this round of treatments, they need to raise PHP6,000 a day for Theo’s medication. Once cleared of the infection, Theo will undergo another surgery, the eighth and hopefully his last, and finally be on his way to recovery. Let us join him in this fight.
