An open letter from the promoters of the NCWA: To the wrestlers, officials, staff, sponsors, and ESPECIALLY the fans of the NCWA: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Saturday night’s Ivan Koloff Tag Team Tournament was arguably the best one we’ve had. We had a STANDING ROOM ONLY crowd witnessing stars of the past, present, AND future doing what they love to do. It was truly a special night, and everyone involved deserves our thanks. Our fans are the best wrestling fans ANYWHERE; they were lined up around the building in Clayton from the early afternoon and didn’t stop making noise until long after the final bell. While we are elated by the reaction to Saturday’s event, we at the NCWA are not complacent in the least. We are determined to continue to improve our product and are committed to delivering the very best that pro wrestling has to offer going forward. We take our motto “Wrestling the Way It Should Be” VERY seriously. Fans who pay their hard-earned money to enjoy our product can rest assured that we are always looking for ways to improve. We reiterate our thanks to everyone: Ron Simmons, Thunderbolt Patterson, Shane Douglas, Ricky Morton, Stro Maestro, D-Lo Brown, George South, EVERY wrestler on the card, our sponsors, Chris Gosek, Steve Butera, Both Zaxbys in Clayton and Smithfield, Rays Pizza, and Tyler Jernigan and everyone who contributed to make the Tournament great. We cannot emphasize our gratitude enough. Finally, we would like to again thank the man who lent his name to this event when we began it six short years ago. Ivan Koloff is not only a wrestling legend and a future Hall of Famer (who should have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at least a decade ago), He’s also a great man and a great friend to all of us at the NCWA. He is one of wrestling’s true pioneers who paved the way to where we are today. Without him, this event just wouldn’t be the same. Thank you, Uncle Ivan.
