An up- date on the Pearse Project and where we are currently at I - TopicsExpress

An up- date on the Pearse Project and where we are currently at I think is timely, and if I may use the aeronautical term of being placed into a holding pattern right now, that would probably best sum it. Ivan spent the weekend doing some minor repair work on the wing cloth with a little patching in a few places that took minor knocks from our wing disaster of last year. Right now it’s about just double checking all the testing requirements that are needed and getting ready for the big move. The Will It Fly? Documentary is still currently screening at the Rialto Cinema in Auckland and Dunedin and at the Academy Gold Cinema in Christchurch. There is still time to catch Will It Fly? On the big screen in Auckland and Dunedin and Christchurch, and this Thursday its starts screening at the Roxy Theatre in Miramar in Wellington which I’m really excited about. It’s indeed an honour to have the Documentary playing in this beautiful classic cinema that is one of the jewels of the Wellington theatre scene and I trust that everyone will get along and enjoy it and I look forward to your feed- back. Speaking of feedback thanks to all who have told me what they have thought of the documentary, there has been some very positive emails and reviews which is very kind & thank you to all . It’s been interesting how one person ( note that ONE ) who has not been so kind, and who has also not been brave enough to stand by their convictions and not signed off with their true identity or any identity for that matter , so your comments are treated in the manner that they justly deserve. Im really, really sorry that Richard William Pearse was unavailable for an interview, so following the Pearse Aircraft building project through Ivans eyes and following his journey over five years was a pretty good reason to document this project for all to see I would have thought and clearly others did as well. To have Will It Fly ? likened to Winnebago Man is actually an honour I feel. • Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary, Sarasota Film Festival • Audience Award for Best Documentary, CineVegas Film Festival • Top Ten Audience Favorite, Hot Docs Film Festival • Founders Prize, Best Comedy Documentary, Traverse City Film Festival • Grand Jury Prize, Best Documentary at the Edmonton International Film Festival Winnebago Man was also in the official selection for IDFA and Sheffield Doc/Fest. The Austin Film Critics Association named Winnebago Man the Best Austin Film for 2010. So can I suggest a really good movie for you to watch, its called Minority Report its probably more to your liking as its science FICTON. Stayed Tuned folks as we are very close to getting the job done one way or another.
