An update from the yard on the new 32: The bottom two layers are planked. 2 layers of AB marine grade Douglas fir with a layer of 1808 fiberglass with West System epoxy between. It has been ground down and ready for its external layer of 1808/ and epoxy. Four layers of 1/2 fir are laminated and shaped for the transom. A final layer of 1/2 (12mm) Joubert okoume will finish off the transom, covering the end grain of the bottom and hullside planking. The sheer bands are in place and have been shaped along with the laminated stem to receive the hullside planking. The first layer of Joubert okoume is being dry fit to the perlings.
