An update on Crickets (Alambie Cricket) arthritis. She has shown some improvement, though not out of woods yet. Surgery is still on the cards, but we are giving it 5 months until we make a decsion. The plan: * Cartrophen injections * Bring weight down to 18.5-19kg * Exercise - moderated on leash with all the swimming she likes. Ball games are limited (try telling a Koolie - no ball today :-( ) * Metacam for pain and inflammation episodes * Supplements: glucosamine, chondroitin and omega-3 * Matacam for pain and inflammable (as required) She has finished her initial pentosan injections and will be on boosters of pentosan every 5 months for a while. We are going to bring her weight down 2-3kgs, we started her on Hills Prescription Metabolic. Cricket wolfs it down, though I dont know if Ill keep her on the Hills Metabolic once the kgs come off, Ill wait and see. I heard Blackhawk is a good food (what do you think?) We started her on Glyde and Im looking at moving from Glyde to Sashas Blend once the Glyde is finished. The Glyde, while expensive, has I believed help tremendously. Does anyone know where I can get good quality ethical fish oil?
