An update on Tropical Invest 95L... The invest is located at approximately 9N 46W, or about 600 miles east-northeast of Paramaribo, Suriname, moving to the west-northwest at 12 MPH. At this time, this invest is still associated with the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), which is currently preventing this system from developing a closed circulation. As this storm begins to separate from the ITCZ, it is expected to enter a favorable environment for development into a tropical cyclone. The National Hurricane Center forecast, with which Storm Channel is in agreement, states that this system has a 70% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours.
