An update on my mother, Louise Dannehl, and her fight against pancreatic cancer, written by my brother, Bob Wiley: I know that many have inquired about an update on my Mom, Louise Dannehl. We met with her Oncologist today and did not receive the news that we had hoped for. It appears that while the tumor on her pancreas had receded, the doctors have found a cancerous mass on her liver. This unfortunately means that her cancer is inoperable. While our mood is somber right now it does not mean that we are giving up. Mom will continue to undergo treatment and continue her fight as long as she chooses. As a friend said when she was diagnosed, she has survived me for 38 years so she should be up for the challenge. I speak for my entire family when I say thank you to family, friends, acquaintances and strangers for the outpouring of love and support, prayers and positive energy. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as we hope for the best. We will live every day to the fullest and please know that if you, a family member or friend needs prayers that we will be happy to reciprocate all that you have given to us.
