Analysing M’membe’s Tuesday, Sep 1, Editorial It’s worth - TopicsExpress

Analysing M’membe’s Tuesday, Sep 1, Editorial It’s worth confessing that not have been attracted to reading The Post Newspaper since he went to bed with the Patriotic Front government.. But picking a copy of September 1, 2014 reading the editorial in which Fred M’membe is mourning the sacking of his friend, the once self styled heir apparent, to President Michael Sata’s ruling Patriotic Front, you wonder what has befallen this man as observed; 1. It’s interesting to note that the editorial has 43 “they” in it. Who these people referred to as “they” can only be a matter of speculation. However, an insight in these people can be found in the same comment in which M’membe states, “this corrupt and tribalistic clique.” From this we can speculate it is the other cartel. In an earlier phrase M’membe says “Now that they are in charge.” This is most likely inferred on Alexander Chikwanda, Chishimba Kambwili and their company. 2. If the editorial says “Now that they are incharge,” who is supposed to be incharge? What about the President If we have other groups incharge of government? So, who was in charge now that they are in charge to prompt M’membe suggest President Sata is not fully in control, he must call elections so that someone who is fully in control can take charge? And which planet has M’membe been to suggest today that President Sata is not fully in control? For how long has the country cried out loud about the whereabouts of its President while M’membe ignored even the basics of investigative journalism. If M’membe can send Mwala Kalaluka to tell the story of Mongu development, why has he not sent Joseph Mwenda all along to give Zambians an insight of the President’s health at Nkwazi House which is less than 10 minutes drive from No. 36 Bwinjifumu where M’membe operates? Was it too important to tell the Mongu story at the expense of bringing to the fore the health of a President not fully in control? 3. Nonetheless, M’membe confirms what we all know that he pretended not to be aware of that The President is not working as he should. This is a great concern. Phrases like, “trying to usurp power by taking advantage of challenges, weaknesses and lapses…” are treasonable! So what are these weaknesses and lapses? Dementia? Does it mean we have lapses in our government that only Wynter Kabimba was capble of fixing? And what about, “Michael cannot fully exercise his powers…” Is this not criminal? If President Sata can’t fully exercise his powers, who is doing it that Zambians did not give the mandate to do so? Does M’membe know something we don’t? Anyway, he promised in one of his lamentations, “he’ll leave this [whatever vomit he has] here.” We look forward to more revelations by M’membe now that he tries to recover from the rude awakening of Kabimba’s bid to be president so he can continue controlling state power. How we miss for vice president George Kunda who once warned Zambians of M’membe’s schemes. Did not Chanda Chimba III warn us that immediately you deny M’membe the opportunity to control the President all hell breaks loose? Is this not what is happening now? To borrow from one of his favourite quotes which he has so far already used in his Wynter lamentations; “he who the Gods want to destroy, he first make them go mad.” We can only presume M’membe is mad. And you know what will happen next to a mad man like him – destruction. zambiareports/2014/09/03/analysing-mmembes-tuesday-sep-1-editorial/
