Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013) Plot: The Wait Is Over - Ron Burgundy is back and bigger and broader than before! After losing his job to his wife and co-anchor, Ron reassembles the news team and squares off against a new rival. Will the worlds greatest anchorman be crushed beneath the weight of his own ego (and his salon- quality hair)? Review: Personally, I thought that the gag reel on the bonus bits on the DVD were better than the whole film. I found a lot of the jokes quite silly and not that funny. I really enjoyed the first movie, but this one went a bit too far. My expectations of the film were quite high so I was pretty disappointed with what they done with the characters. I enjoyed Steve Carells character, who finds love in a weird type of way, but that was about it. I think that the whole shock value from the first movie was missing in this one, which is a shame because I couldnt stop laughing during the gag reel. Anyway, there are some moments that were amusing but its no way near the original Anchorman. Average! Round-Up: Now that all of the characters from the first movie have become famous, its good to see that there all back again, playing the same roles that they did. Will Ferrells character really hasnt changed that much, but the director chose crazy storylines which were quite ridiculous and extremely far fetched. The fight on the field brings out some surprising stars, just like the first movie, but the director didnt make full use of them. The film, more or less, carries on straight from the first movie and it doesnt really look like that much has changed with the characters, but from an audiences point of view, the script needed a lot more work. Budget: $50million Worldwide Gross: $173million I recommend this movie to people who are were into the original Anchorman movie and who like there silly comedies without much depth. 4/10
