And I present to you, a somewhat of a Pet Raccoon.... Not because - TopicsExpress

And I present to you, a somewhat of a Pet Raccoon.... Not because we wanted it to be, but because it just happened that way. This raccoon was injured in the reckless construction work on the forest right outside of our place. My brother saw the Raccoon crawl from the fallen tree rubble and stumbled over and fell face first into the dirt. thinking it was going to die, my mom and brother decided to feed it some cat food. after that it crawled around for a week straight without food or water until my mom spotted her again under a tree in a nearby field. Looking exhausted, we brought it food and water. The raccoon was extremely dehydrated, so we ended up feeding it there for a few days until we decided to relocate it back closer to our place so we didnt have to make the daring trip everyday into the construction field. Now fast forward to today, 2 weeks from then, The Raccoon somehow ended up in our place, But we cannot take great care for it. Ive tried calling Animal Control and Local Wild Life Rescue.... turns out 1 wildlife rescue guy who lives literally down the street from me wont take the Raccoon until it is given to him by contracted Animal Control... I called Animal Control, they dont take raccoons...? so whats the point in being an animal rescue and animal technician if you dont take care of animals outside of cats and dogs? lame tards... I tried the other wildlife rescue lady in L.A., they dont take Natural Wildlife.....? so.... you mean.... youd take in a Dinosaur over this Raccoon? what is wrong with these people? get a vet degree only to neglect 1 Raccoon? I understand what its like to work in an Animal Clinic, you get overwhelmed somewhat. but not ever enough just for 1 simple creature who just needs a corner of space. Lame! and SHAME to those who claim to be animal rescuers. so... here we are, if anyone knows of anyone who would like to take care of this raccoon SERIOUSLY only until she can walk properly again, then please message me. weve got a pet Raccoon. How many people can really tell you that? Not many in my book....
