And Im alive! Survived my first night out in the wild. It was a little touch and go upon arriving at the site at midnight. I quickly looked to Riley to take charge and he just sat there and waited for me. Um hello? This is your thing! Why are you asking me where to put the tent? So we decided to put it up on a hill like our neighbors did even tho it didnt seem quite right. Riley took out his axe and thought he was Paul Bunyan chopping down some trees and branches. We set up shop with only minimal screams from me regarding spiders and what I mistook for poison ivy. As we lay there, listening to the rain fall lightly on our tent I was excited to hear the sounds of animals mating in the wild! I thought now this is camping!... But no! It was just the insanely drunk people one tent over! It was not polite! So this morning Im avoiding eye contact with these folks as Riley cooks us breakfast on the open fire to start our day...
