And Jesus said to Peter, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find many fish.” (St. John 21:1) Insanity can be defined as repeating the same thing over and over while expecting a different result. There are times when God asks us to do something beyond what is simplistic, and it even sounds foolish. It is not until we move forward by faith that we begin to realize that His plan is so much better than our own. I find it amazing how just ONE WORD from the Lord can change our perspective. One act of obedience can often shift our life from the mundane to the miraculous. When we consider this passage of scripture, we see that the fish were not on the other side of the lake, but they were just on the other side of the boat.
