And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” (Joshua 3:5 NKJV) As we will soon enter into the season of Advent and celebrate this Thanksgiving tradition; the words Joshua spoke to the children of Israel rang loud. For us, the wonders we anticipate are based on the sanctification that comes with accepting the shed blood of Christ. We should begin to both receive the manifestation of wonders in faith AND begin to celebrate the One who our wonders come from. Today on Thanksgiving, I echo Joshua and say: tomorrow The Lord will do wonders among you. He will cause a shift in your perspective. He will at your command cease the storms and the winds. He will make your enemies bless you. He will reveal the next place he desires for you. He will mend your broken heart. He will do wonders among you! Happy Thanksgiving
