And, continuing with SUICIDE SQUAD news, it seems Variety has a scoop about who might be playing Amanda Waller, head of Checkmate/ARGUS/DEO (No clue, yet, where the films will go as far as secret government agencies go, yet). In the comics, she was responsible for bringing Taskforce-X together. She was portrayed by Angela Bassett in the 2011 Green Lantern film, but it looks like theyre definitely moving away from that as OPRAH WINFREY is being looked at for the role... Yep.... Luckily, shes not the only name, with Viola Davis and Victoria Spencer also mentioned on the shortlist. IDK, if Oprah plays Waller? If she can bring a certain kind of attitude to the role, I think I might be able to dig it. IDK.... Gotta see with that one... Definitely the last name I wouldve picked, though! Then again, Id stay with Bassette.
