And here she is, folks, the Millennium Falcon guitar that I custom crafted for Ofek Studnik, # MF5. She plays and sounds fantastic, and is a lot of fun. I built it much the same as I built the previous MF guitars and basses, with a central red oak core for structural integrity. I went for a more vintage approach with this one, as you can see by the Fender Guitar Telecaster neck pickup, Alnico 5 PAF bridge humbucker, and 21 fret Strat-style neck with skunk stripe on the back. The controls are 500K master volume and tone pots topped with custom white Star Wars knobs. It has a black string through top 6 saddle Fender style bridge. I strung it with 10s, and the action is set at just above 1/16 for fast playability, and the intonation is perfect. It also has built in lights and sound effects, which I also wired to a separate volume control so it can be heard through the amp as well. Han Solo and Chewie are sitting comfortably in the cockpit. And to finish off the look, I included a gray Jim Dunlop Guitar Products strap with Star Wars patch. And yes, the landing gears work. Included with this guitar, of course, is a very nice heavily padded gigbag for safe carrying to gigs, whether at the local bar or at Sly Snootles Cantina. lol. Im sure hes gonna love it.
