And my favorite part: The clever humor of Marty McFly. :-) I wont bother getting into the plot details - there are plenty of reviews here that lay it out. But I will say that it was refreshingly original. I read a lot of books and Ive never run across anything of this subject matter, let alone the authors clever treatment of it. The protagonist Matthias was extremely likeable, and I couldnt help but to pull for him from the very start. I thoroughly enjoyed the authors great dialogue for him - there were several laugh-out-loud moments (not THAT record!) that are sorely missing from some of the other current crop of writers. Not only was it a great book, with cliffhangers, action, intrigue, great dialogue and intelligent characters and scenarios, but it truly elicited thoughts and considerations of a little-discussed subject. It wasnt perfect, mind you. It was a touch confusing at times; it ended a bit quickly; and there wasnt much explanation to a certain event, which I wont spoil here. But they are far outweighed by all the positives, and Im already anticipating the next installment of this story (Im assuming hes writing one). Its a day-one buy for me
