And in the afternoon, I co-hosted the Amateur Night at the Hayti with Johnnie Hutt Hudson and that was definitely some great talent that was on the stage trying to win an opportunity to have a shot at performing at the Apollo in New York....Glitz The Entertainer and the Sandman definitely were great at entertaining the crowd and working those that didnt make the cut off the stage...It was fun working as always with our technical director John Paul and working with my good buddy Ray Paschall on this event that is being put on by Next Level Veterans under the direction of Captain Newborn.....It is amazing the kind of talent that is here in the area....acts like Precious Boyd, Lo Proof and his cousin, Aliya Grant, Michael Meeks Sr, LeShawn Troy Rogers, Denise Stanley definitely captured the hearts of the audience and even those that didnt make the cut were definitely worthy of being in the competition....Brittany Jordan, Ariel Sowell, and Easton Blesh definitey gave it a solid try and one of the acts pulled out because one of their members had a family tragedy....but they still went on stage and gave the audience a taste of what they are all about...we look forward to seeing the Legacy Tribute Band perform in full effect later in the competition...D.J. Smiley and the house band, Blue Sun, were also great....and folks you are in for a treat if you come and check out some of the competition in the coming weeks.....
