And indeed it makes us feel bad what we hear from some of the callers (Duaat) who ascribe themselves to Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaaah, of them being harsh, and hard upon their brothers, and their busying themselves with attacking the honors of their brothers who are also callers (Duaat). We hear that they are busying themselves with gathering the faults of their brothers and spreading those things amongst the people, and they consider that to be from the acts of worship which one uses to draw near to Allah... ... And indeed we have come to know that some of the new Muslims in the lands of the West, when they see this differing it makes them have doubt and uncertainty regarding the ability of the Islamic religion to unify the ranks of the Muslims and bring them together. Thus, this differing is a Fitnah (an evil test) that has divided the Muslims. It has prevented people from being guided to the religion of Islam, and it has busied the students of knowledge thus distracting them from the Dawah (calling people to worship Allah) and conveying the inheritance of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)...
