“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For - TopicsExpress

“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, for ever. Amen”. (Matthew 6 vs 13). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today. Today’s Focal Scripture is divided into two using a colon ( : ). When a colon is used in separating two statements, whatever follows the colon is an explanation or implication of whatever precedes the colon. So, when Jesus explained why God would not lead His people into temptation, and why He would deliver them from evil, He said, “FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM”. A Kingdom is simply the sphere of influence and control of a King. An organised community where a King is in charge. Jesus was simply affirming through the Lord’s Prayer that since God is in charge over the Kingdoms of Heaven and earth, He will save His people from adversity. By Jesus’ assertion, God’s ownership of the Kingdom gives Him the unlimited ability to deliver His people from adversity and evil. Friend hear this: because God is in charge, He will save you again from every challenge; Because God rules the universe, the enemy cannot have an upper hand in your destiny. The arrows of adversity may have been shot at you by the enemy, but God will prevail over the enemy, and you won’t go down. It doesn’t matter how fierce the battles of life may become; God is still in charge. Even if the conspiracies against you are too much for you to handle, God isn’t sleeping and He will come through for you faster than you can imagine. With a deeper understanding right now, can you declare loudly, “THINE IS THE KINGDOM”. Pray with me, “Lord, I believe you are in charge; every of my challenge will crumble and crash into pieces in Jesus name”. Follow on Twitter @jerrystreams Have a Splendid Tuesday!
