“And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule - TopicsExpress

“And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].” (Colossians 3:15, AMP) Speaks to you and I about Letting Peace Be Our Umpire! While I am not a baseball fan I do that an umpire calls the players safe or out. I relate this to us as believers in Jesus, because with Jesus we have an internal umpire, so to speak, someone who is calling the plays and giving us direction. Before WE ever make a decision, WE should stop and see if WE have peace inside. If there’s unrest or an uneasy feeling inside, then WE ought NOT move forward. Let peace be OUR umpire. Look within ourselves and maybe ask; How many people, including our self get into a relationship that WE didn’t have peace about and end up miserable? How many of US buy things WE didn’t have peace about. Then end up in debt. How many of US take a job WE didn’t have peace about. Then end up frustrated. Well, here’s the key: If WE don’t have peace before WE make the decision, WE ARE not going to have peace after WE make the decision. If WE don’t have peace about that person now, WE ARE not going to have peace if WE get into relationship. If WE don’t have peace about buying that new car, WE ARE not going to have peace when the payments come each month. WE NEED TO remember, God gave US peace for OUR protection. No matter what circumstances look like, always trust His inner peace. Let peace in OUR heart be OUR umpire and settle any questions WE have in OUR mind. Share Prayer: Father, thank You for Your peace that passes understanding. Thank You for leading and guiding me by peace. Help me to tune in to Your voice better so I can walk in the peace and protection You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
