And now.... For something completely different. There is lot more to this than this quick and easy overview. But the points are: 1) Everything you think you know about economics is Wrong. 2) Balanced budgets are not necessary and in fact are a constraint on a healthy economy. 3) Debt is mostly an illusion, deficits are total illusions. 4) If we were debt free, no jobs would be created. 5) We are told debt needs to be paid off because it is all profit for Wall Street banksters. Some of the above points are not in this article. But if you read up on MMT, you will find them being made by the adherents (and others) named here.
