And now an encouraging word from Pastor Bill! Pastor Bill is heading out the door early this morning and decided to share this wonderful devotion from Watchman Nee. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. -Ephesians 4:15-16 From this passage we learn that the members of the body of Christ are joined and held together together because all hold fast to the head and live out the life of the body. This does not suggest that God wants you to pay attention only to the one who sits next to you, but that He preeminently wants you to have a proper relationship with the Lord. If you maintain such a relationship with the head you will have a good relationship with other body members. All matters between you and your brothers and sisters may be easily solved if you can submit yourself to the head. If you have no controversy with the Lord you will have no problem with any brother or sister. -Watchman Nee
