And now for a bit of daily surrealism. While staying and walking about San Francisco as Vicki recovers from her knee replacement, somehow I got bitten not once, but twice by a fanged insect. Once on the L calf several days ago. Started out as a typical bite and then surrounded by redness & bumps so I went to Walgreens and bought a 1% Hydracortizone ointment. No luck and things got worse to the point that I have a rash 2inches wide by 3&1/2 inches wide. So I went to a an urgent care facility. Sure as heck wasnt going to go to an ED for something like this ;) Anyway, after checking in I was informed I had an hour and half wait but it just so happened there was an Irish Pub just around the corner and they would call/page me when my appt time drew close. So that is how I ended up this afternoon at Monaghans Pub enjoying a hard cider & a Jamisons while watching the winter X-games on a big screen TV waiting to be seen for this rash. Modern medicine at its best ;)
