And occasionally, actually regularly, there are things that someone wrote that I feel are so deep, so wide, so profound and so in your face that even the greatest philosophers of Greece or the Greatest Good Book ever written were not able to conceive, they will be re-posted again and again here... Love is but a lower form of affection as it can be freely given even when someone does not deserve it, and when the affection is over, love is easily withdrawn even with or without the fault of the giver or receiver... Respect is not freely given, it is based on merit and deed, and it can only be withdrawn or taken back when the receiver deserted that merit... In plain language, Love are the low hanging fruits that hang from the lower branches of the tree, Respect are those hanging high up, and as the tree grows taller, those are hanging even higher while those in lower branches stay just about the same! - Phillip Lo (January 26, 2013)
