And so, its my turn. Tagged by close friends Kyra Ballesteros & Rachel Villanueva. I strived to make my description short, but I guess I failed. T_T List 10 books that have stayed with you in some way. Dont take more than a few minutes, and dont think too hard. Its not about the right book or great works of literature, just ones that have affected you in some way. It doesnt have to be in order. Then tag 10 friends or more and me so I can see your list. 1. Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery ----- I have to thank my childhood best friend, Adelene Aragon, for introducing me to the world of classic literature. I clearly remember Annes bright red hair & the freckles all over her face, and how she courageously faced the different struggles in her life. I loved this book so much that I just had to convince my mom, Florita Gorospe, to buy me the remaining 5 books. 2. The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind ----- Admittedly not a book for kids, but I somehow got to read this by age of 10 (Grade 4). After reading chapters on additive & subtractive magic, confessors, and seekers of truth, I was just too immersed into this new world that I could not help but continue reading the succeeding 13 books. 3. Stardust by Neil Gaiman ----- This book started by Neil Gaiman obsession. He writes so well that both young and old could relate to it. I have read some of his books more than once, and each time I do, I discover something new. Up to now, I still follow Gaimans books. The last Ive read was The Ocean at the End of the Lane. Thank you, Kuya Patrick Simon-King, for introducing this wonderful author to me. 4. Lord of The Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien ----- The trilogy definitely changed how I saw elves. Instead of these little men with pointy hats who help Santa make Christmas gifts in the North Pole, elves turned into tall, majestic beings with long golden hair, fair skin and pointy ears. Oh, Legolas.
