And thanks for all the fish... I got a call from my credit card co, asking if I bought $429 worth of whatever at Krogers yesterday. No, I didnt even leave the house, except to drive the dogs to the nearby park. So now, Im stuck without a card for a week. And of course, J is leaving town tomorrow. Ill be stuck with... cash! (which just sits in my wallet, for show) And this is just after watching this 60 Minutes clip. HOW OUTRAGEOUS! https://youtube/watch?v=6fnW7m-960s But the feds say the scam may be contained - in a few years. Meanwhile, its been going on for 10 years. The feds dont bother checking this against employer records. They just transfer the money! Which reminded me of another story of theirs, a few years ago. The state coin scam. The Republicans wanted a dollar coin for each state. Nobody likes coins, and every time they issue these, it fails. But they kept minting these new coins. They had to build 4 or more pricey vaults across the country. BIG ones! And they couldnt stop minting, because of a congressional mandate. They may still be printing, and storing these coins. INsane! No one likes to carry them, stores hate dealing with them, and they are often mistaken for quarters!
