He got 70 votes against his closest opponent, the incumbent Hassan Saleh who got 58 votes.The voting process started at about 5:15pm with Ogbadibo local Govt delegates voted first, followed by Ado Local Govt and Okpokwu LG respectively. Out of the 128 delegates, only one was absent. The contestants were 1 Hon. Hassan Anthony Saleh (Incumbent), 2 Hon. Chris Adabah Abah, (Winner today) and 3 Hon. Matthew Ujah. A little drama was displayed as the Chief delegate agent to Hasan Saleh was Hon. Otah Agbo who was also contesting the same seat from Ado before it was zoned to Ogbadibo for the 2nd tenure, he donated his supporters to Hasan Saleh. While the chief delegate agent to Hon. Chris Adabah Abah was Hon. Fabian Agada, Fmr. Ogbadibo LG chairman. The first to cast his vote as automatic delegate was the Deputy Govr. Steven Lawani (OFR).
