And the Lord said unto him, Go, return on thy way into the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria; And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Syria: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room [1 Kings 19:15-16]…And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said to him , Gird up thy loins…And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to the inner chamber; Then take the oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the Lord, I have anointed thee king over seal. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not. [2 Kings 9:1-3] When you do a total studying of the Bible, you will understand your position in this life…God gave Elijah instructions to do after he had complained three times [1 Kings 19:4, 10 &14] which he shouldn’t have done, having earlier done miracles through the power of God. Anyway, that’s not where I’m going. Look at the scriptures mentioned here…1 Kings 19:15-16 and 2 Kings 9:1-3! Elijah had anointed Elisha in verse 1 Kings 19:19…So he departed thence, and found Elisha…but he didn’t anoint Jehu; why? Because Jehu was a soldier! He was a “shakis man.” He probably was in the senior officer’s mess. See verse 5…And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which one of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain…But what you may not realize is that when Elisha was to have been anointed, the same time with Jehu but because he could not be “found” the same way Elisha was “found”…so I pray vehemently that you will be found when the Prophet of God comes to your neighbourhood!
