And then two great festivals in quick succession in GERMANY. On Sunday 6th July well be in RUDOLSTADT with June Tabor to play the main stage in the courtyard of Heidecksburg castle at 17:30. We have a long association with some of the organisers of the festival, going right back to the later days of the former German Democratic Republic, and its a real pleasure to see the size and success theyve made of it. Earlier on the Sunday well also, as Oysterband, appear in conversation ( = an acoustic mini-session) at Schminkkasten at 13:00. Then on Friday 11th July we move to the folk-rock end of the spectrum at BLACKSHEEP FESTIVAL, 74906 BAD RAPPENAU - BONFELD. Blacksheep is a new name for this well-established festival, signifying a broadening of its musical scope. But with the likes of Horslips, New Model Army, ahab and Fairport Convention also on the bill, Blacksheep clearly hasnt lost sight of its roots.
