And there came an angel of the LORD,and sat under an Oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the Wine-Press,to hide it from the Midianites.(Judges 6 vs 11). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.In Todays Focal Scripture,Gideon threshed wheat in a Wine press located in a parcel of land belonging to his father. He had the ability to thresh wheat,and that ability found an opportunity in a wine-press located in his fathers land;he had the capacity to be distinguished,and that capacity found expression in an opportunity created by someone in the generation ahead of him.Gideons father provided an opportunity for his sons manifestation;he laid a foundation that his son eventually reaped from; he laid a foundation for the success of his next generation;he made life easier for his next generation.Friend, are you laying foundations today that the generations after you can build on? Is your lifestyle likely to leave them struggling to succeed? Are your activities such that will speak for them or against them? Are you living a righteous life that will make God bless your future generation,or living in sins that will confine them in negative generational cycles and curses?God says, lay a foundation that will pave way for the success of your next generation.
