And they were astonished at His [Jesus] DOCTRINE: for His Word was with POWER (Luke 4:32)… It goes without saying that the MOST POWERFUL WORDS spoken in the Bible concerning us under the New Covenant are the WORDS that Jesus Himself spoke. Not taking anything away from the Apostles’ letters to the Church and individuals in particular, we’ve only been CALLED and CHOSEN to FOLLOW one person – the Lord Jesus Christ. This alone is why the TEACHINGS and LIFE of Jesus is so PARAMOUNT to the Body of Christ if we’re to make any IMPACT in the WORLD as far as COMPELLING the LOST SINNER into the Kingdom of God, as well as DEFEAT all the POWERS of the enemies of our SOULS – the POWERS of DARKNESS. No other WORDS spoken into an individual’s life are more POWERFUL than WORDS that came DIRECTLY out of the MOUTH of Jesus Christ. He ALONE is the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our FAITH. He ALONE is the ONLY ONE that God the Father Himself PERSONALLY ENDORSED to be FOLLOWED here on earth in order to make it into HEAVEN. There’s NO OTHER NAME given to us under Heaven whereby we MUST be SAVED besides the NAME of Jesus Christ. This is why even today the DOCTRINE and WORDS of Jesus still HOLD and CONTAIN more POWER in THEM than any other WORDS spoken in the Bible under the NEW COVENANT. They’re the MOST POWERFUL WORDS needed to be SPOKEN to TRANSFORM a person’s LIFE. When you take Jesus and the WORDS He SPOKE out of the EQUATION of SANCTIFICATION, HOLINESS, and SALVATION, you’re left with a FEARFUL, FRUITLESS, PATHETICALLY POWERLESS Church!!!
