And this Wednesday, Ill be part of a student-organized panel on Immigration at our Puget Sound campus. The title of my talk: Disposable Lives, Expendable Bodies: The Ongoing History of US Deportation Biopolitics. I am honored to share the table with organizer Maru Mora Villalpando and Douglas Epps for a discussion on Our Own Backyard: Tacomas Role in Perpetuating Injustice Against Immigrants. So proud of my students for keeping the fire going on campus on this issue. Hopefully we get more fire going that day. Keep it up Kelsee Levey and Andrea Alvarez Nable. Youre two beautiful awesome energies! See you all there. Candles will be lit as part of USTired2 national solidarity action with the 43 disappeared students in Iguala. University of Puget Sound, Wyatt 109. 5PM. Please help us spread the word. Refreshments will be provided.
