And this is what I woke up to on Sept/1968. DaNang Vietnam. I had my old reel-to reel recorder set up after recording music the night before. You can hear the rockets hitting. They would usually see them coming in on radar but by time the sirens went off it was too late. Some hitting in the distance at the beginning and they would adjust them so they landed closer. We were hunkering down by the security fence waiting to see if they launched a land offensive. This was a weekly event sometimes daily. Loved the Monsoons there because the friction from the rain would sent them off prematurely
