And two of the biggest targets on my hit list in the diet industry are Canadas Dr. Stanley Bernstein Weight-Loss Centers and the North American HCG Diet. What infuriates me most of these two is that they especially PREY ON desperate people the most. And like most diet-industry solutions they have consumers blinded with short-term thinking and the lie that when the scale moves this if of course progress - with no context for long-term consequences. As I discussed in my books Beyond Metabolism as well as my book The Anti-Diet Approach to Weight-Loss and Weight-Control - approaches like these seldom, if ever, lead to long-term sustainable weight-loss - but instead lead to a long-term one-way ticket to Fatsville! And sadly what usually accompanies this inevitable end-result, is a personal sense of failure and emotional depression as well.
