And when God sent His prophet Nathan to David, he spoke all these - TopicsExpress

And when God sent His prophet Nathan to David, he spoke all these words saying, There were two men who lived in three same town; one was rich and the other poor. The rich man had many cattle and sheep, while the poor man had only one lamb, which he had bought. .... The rich man didnt want to kill one of his own animals to prepare a meal for him; instead, he took the poor mans lamb and cooked a meal for his guest. - (2SAMUEL 12:1-12). Many readers of the bible pile heaps of criticism on David each time this scripture is read. They see this singular to be treacherous, tyranic, and selfish. But ours now is a society where one will unplug anothers phone when it is just one percent full, to charge theirs which is ninety-nine percent full. So who will hurl the first stone? Was Old Major kidding in George Orwells Animal Farm when he said, Man is the only real enemy we have. Remove man from the scene, and the root cause of hunger and overwork is abolished for ever. Man is the only creature who consumes without producing . ... All the habits of Man are evil. And above all, no animal no animal must ever tyranise over his own kind. Weak or strong, clever or simple, we are all bothers. Do the actions of men in our society today not lay credence to this claim by Old Major? You never can tell what it is your close door neighbour harbours in their heart. It is all about schemes to get the weak and incapable ones weaker and more impoverished. Its all about who can pull the wool over the the eye of the other or pull a fast one on them. Even though our country Ghana flows with honey and milk, we still have our umblical cord tied to outside forces, all because of the brutish, nasty, egoistic lifestyle of man. Do we need Rebellion as Old Major prescribes ? What form must this be? A rebellion of emancipation, riots and demos, accountability, social justice, or what ?
