And you just never know.... We got a letter from the IRS right after Christmas that said there was an error in our taxes from the 2013 year. The H&R Block program had just lumped all my 1099 income into one number, so it looked like I hadnt reported all my income. So I called to make sure that we took care of it properly. Then they called me today, turns out there were two errors. We somehow didnt discuss the 2nd one at all the other day. Turns out on one page I accidentally entered Franks income wrong - by typing one digit twice. So instead of the normal 5 digit income, we had a 6 digit income on the one page. Somehow the program didnt catch the discrepancy. Turns out they owe US more money! lol. Theyll be sending another letter with a form to sign, then they will send us the difference owed.
