And you shall know the truth, and the truth you know, shall make - TopicsExpress

And you shall know the truth, and the truth you know, shall make you free. To biblically know truth is actually shown by application. The truth you make applicable in your life will begin setting you free of deception. Consider the words of Jesus when he said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, nobody goes to the father, except he goes thru Jesus! Makes me consider the passage, the road that leads to righteousness is narrow, and few be that find it. Narrow? Few find the narrow path? Now lets consider the passage that a rich man has about the same chance of making it to heaven, as a camel passing thru the eye of a needle. Rich....in what? Im always thinking about rich in money, finance, but as I sit here and reflect on this, May I present something else? Not saying rich here isnt about finances, but with that can I inject another thought with the finances? I was thinking about prosperity, and it made me think about Joseph. A interesting thought came to my mind, the bible says in genesis 39ish that while Joseph was a prisoner, he was a prosperous man. Why? Because God was with him! Ok,I know he didnt have money, he didnt have anything of physical value, yet as a slave/prisoner he was a prosperous man. To be prosperous isnt always about money, no more than being rich is always about monetary worth. So Im thinking a person can be rich in things,a mindset thats not conducive to the kingdom of God. We can be rich in ourselves, which is to say we place a value in ourselves that become oppositional to God. We place a self esteem within ourselves that rival with what God have planned for our lives. We have evolved into our own god, before the one and only God! The eye of the needle, that small opening in the wall of Jerusalem, that allowed people into the city at night, but first you must unload your camel to enter. You cant leave your camel loaded to enter, and if your gonna come to God, you cant hold on to the high esteem of yourself, because you must come to him humbly. Palms 51: 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. (KJVStrongs) You see pride is a powerful tool, and it is the cause of a fall by Lucifer, before man ever entered the scene. Pride comes before a fall, and Lucifer was the perfect example of that passage. To come before God, you cannot come rich on yourself, no more than a camel with a load can enter the eye in the wall of Jerusalem, he must be totally unloaded, and even then he must get on his knees to enter.....The narrow gate! The reason few shall enter the kingdom of God, that God wanted everyone to enjoy? Because we dont want to leave what we consider to be riches! Money, high esteem of self, we have placed our faith in what we consider knowledge, contrary to Gods wisdom. We have placed our confidence in our academic success, our financial and social status, our automobiles, the square footage of our homes, we have become whos who in our circles, and God is wondering.....who is you? How you placed yourself in your own heaven, but only within your mind. You see, when you cant submit to God, you have placed yourself above him, and you trust you, you have sat upon the throne in your life, and become your own Lord! You have said you are rich and need nothing, lets look at a passage that expresses this mentality and see how the truth (Jesus) views it. Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: (KJVStrongs) Humble yourself! You cant bring your pride to the table of a king! The king! The king of kings, and Lord of lords! How arrogant! How self centered to come before the creator with stuff he allowed you to posses, and then place it more valuable than him, the very creator of all things! Even you, yourself a created being, and you have the audacity to think more highly of yourself, and your petty accomplishments....over the very one that created you!?! You need to go to the cross! Lay down all of you, one more time! Go to the cross and lay down ALL of you, because he dont take partial people, its either ALL of you, or nothing of you! Lay down all of you at the cross, if you want to trade for all of him!
