Andrew Sunkuli alias Chopper has called on professionals from the Maasai community to improve Education standards in Narok and Kajiado counties. His call and worries beams on the fact that out of 360,000 university students in the country, only 3,000 come from the Maasai community. Speaking at a fund drive to buy a bus for Shartuka, the well-placed senate competitor who vied for senatorial position in Narok County asserted that the lack of a good number of professionals in the community marginalizes the Maasai. Sunkuli said that this should not be the case as the Maasai have the potential of doing well in academics. He said the two counties are forced to look for professionals from other areas, which makes it difficult for residents to benefit from devolution. Sunkuli said the two counties are endowed with vast natural resources such as tourist sites.
