Andriy Biletsky: Bereza has been with us from the beginning, - TopicsExpress

Andriy Biletsky: Bereza has been with us from the beginning, from the very first days. I met him back then when we started organizing the battalion. He came with Tanya and several members of Auto-Maidan. Came with guns. We then rushed to the north, where at that time happened major combat operations, but Mykola and Tanya then persuaded us to stay - keep the area of Azov. And that ultimately Azov has become tied forever with the sea, with the southern cities and with the release of this territory, this is partially the merit of Mykola. He has been with us always and everywhere. In reconnaissance, patrol, on the border, and directly in the fighting. He has always been calm and laid-back, you will never see in him any doubt or confusion. He had a very phlegmatic character. In battle he behaved as if he was peeling potatoes. I remember there was a funny episode, when a sniper was shooting at him, and he did not even notice. I remember him standing on the corner, targeting something, and right next to him the bullets fly. Shot at him several times. Then, when he was told about it, he was so surprised in his phlegmatic manner - just shrugged. Mykola really was not one of the common people, and not even average. He achieved something in life. Not that he was from the bohemian, but still close to the higher strata of society. And behaved throughout the war as a private soldier. And did more than the private did. He was on duty, stood on guard, did a sentry-go. He bore the all the soldier burdens. Ate anything, slept anywhere. And not only has never complained, but was a great example for his soldiers ... and for all around. He was a very good platoon commander. People loved him. All people. Not only his platoon. Like all big men, he was actually a great good-natured man. Pure good simple soul. I do not know a single person who had a negative attitude towards him and held something against him in the soul. Because he has never done anyone harm. Even for the enemies he did not have any hatred. Very noble and constrained fighting. I do not remember that somewhere was not present Bereza. Very reliable friend. We always feared for Tanya because she always rushed to fight like crazy (we took her with us to Mariupol), but we have never feared for Bereza. Quite the reverse, with him his people were calm. We feared for Tanya, but died Mykola ... This is really an example of a soldier, a fighter, a nationalist and a citizen. For me he without the quotation marks and without exaggeration was the friend and the comrade. Tanya is now left alone with two wonderful kids. This is a wonderful family that we undertake to take care of as Mykola would do. He really was a bone of the nation. Sometimes you think that it would be better if died a hundred of such citizens of Ukraine on the other side who voted in a referendum for DNR than one such person. Even dying, he remained himself ... was mortally wounded while saving a comrade. And now let our opponents know, including in Ilovaisk, that in accordance with the old Ukrainian tradition for such people as Mykola we will take ten of theirs. Surrender has no sense for them. Bereza was a warrior. And for soldiers do not grieve, for them take a revenge. Heroes do not die !!!
