Andy update: Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement last night! I literally felt you all picking me up while I was down. The sun is shining and today is a new day! Andy had his best night yet! Fever went down, swelling has gone down a lot (he is peeing like crazy!) and his heart rate is back down to normal. The attending trauma physician this week was monitoring Andys case while on vacation last week. He is incredibly pleased by Andys progress and says hes doing great. Paul remarked on the doctors enthusiasm, and he said, Well, thats because Ive been monitoring only numbers and I havent been here every day like you have. So I know how much hes improved from the first day. He is optimistic that Andys breathing tube will come out in the next few days!!! God is good. I know I have said this many times, but I am blown away by the love and support that you have given us. Many of our tears are shed from sorrow and fear, but an equal amount from the blessing you have all been. Thanks again. You guys are the best kind of people and we are lucky to have you in our lives.
