Anesthesiologist Job: Dean Clinic, Madison, Wisconsin Full Time Employment Status: W-2 Start Date: Immediate We have an outstanding opportunity for a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to join Dean Clinic, a 500+ physician multi-specialty group. Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesia is welcomed but not necessary. Our Anesthesia Division consists of 10.4 FTE anesthesiologists and 40+ CRNA’s on staff and the position is conveniently based at St Mary’s Hospital and the adjacent Surgery and Care Center in Madison, WI. St. Mary’s Hospital has 10 operating rooms plus 3 cardiovascular operating rooms. The Surgery & Care – Outpatient Surgery Center has eight operating rooms. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 45-60 hours per week, including first call. The call schedule is 1:10 for general first call covering from 3:00 pm – 7.00 am and is taken in-house due to volume of cases with second call (1:4.6) for CV Anesthesia would be taken from home. Saturday/Sunday call is 1:11 and is taken in house for 24 hours. The ideal candidate should be BE/BC in General Anesthesia. Additional Fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia with proficiency and certification in TEE, would be welcomed. The overall case mix for the department consists of - Cardiac (includes vascular and thoracic) – 1,100 cases (approx. 12% of surgical volume), Neurosurgery – 960 cases (11%), General Surgery – 1870 cases (21%), Orthopedic Surgery – 2500 cases (28%). In addition, St. Mary’s Hospital is not a trauma center though they do see some trauma cases. Dean Clinic is a large, multi-specialty, integrated healthcare delivery system, with more than 500 physicians and other providers and approximately 65 clinic locations. In partnership with St. Marys Hospital, Dean Clinic also provides tertiary care services across an 18 county region through our extensive regional clinic system. Dean Health Plan provides health care coverage for approximately 300,000 covered lives across our service area. The Hospital St. Mary’s is an acute-care hospital licensed for 440 beds and offers full scope of medical and surgical specialty areas - except transplants. In 2012 St. Mary’s provided 24,316 inpatient discharges, including newborns, 78,461 outpatient visits and 50,076 emergency room visits.
